Suspected sockpuppets

edit
  • Note: I realised after I filed the report that the master is likely Vijayclicker93.
  • AjKa180 created 1 August 2020
  • Chiki170 created 2 August 2020
  • Sarvasva30 created 7 August 2020
  • These are clearly all the same person, based on the following:
  • So clearly the same person/crew. Is it for ill purposes? I think so. Looks like UPE in the area of Indian Kannada-language films and personalities. And companies too, I guess. Looking at this version of the NammaFlix article, with its highly promotional phrasing, it just seems obvious that they're here to promote. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:10, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update: Of course after I file the SPI, I discover a few more things:
  1. This entity seems to like to ask for their rejected drafts to be deleted. I notice that Chiki did this a few times. I assume they do this to throw people off the scent, so we don't notice the same drafts created over and over.
  2. Continuing from #1, looking at Chiki's deleted history, I notice Anusha Rai (actress) was attempted and deleted after an AfD. Not surprisingly, as I pull back from disambiguation, I discovered that Anusha Rai has been problematic (created by sockmaster Arshifakhan61). I also notice that Draft:Anusha Rai has been an issue as well. And looking through that deleted edit history, I notice Charlie063, a presumed sock of Vijayclicker93. Charlie also did the same user page thing that these accounts do, signing his "~~~~Charlie063". So Vijayclicker93 is likely the master for this batch, unless he's somehow linked to others, and this behaviour, where they're trying to obscure their identity and circumvent multiple levels of community scrutiny, is very clearly bad-faith editing. Note: This is definitely connected to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Arshifakhan61. Also, just to point out that this farm is copying over articles from here on to Wikitia and then copying them back here after the article here is deleted, but they do so under a new title so the history of the article is missing and if the one is not deleted, the attribution trail is not present.—SpacemanSpiff 01:02, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SpacemanSpiff:, as far as I'm aware and per some off-wiki evidence, the website Wikitia belongs to the Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shashanksinghvi334 sockfarm. GSS💬 08:47, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Oshwah: Thanks for the extra details. So is it correct for me to assume that Charlie and Sarvasva are likely part of the Vijayclicker93 sockfarm, and that the other two are possibly related to that sockfarm? Should this SPI be moved to Vijayclicker93? The duck similarities between these four are high, and there are a few other minor details (like consistent misspellings) that make me think they're absolutely related. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:44, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cyphoidbomb - They're likely / possibly related to the sock puppet listed here - the AjKa180 account. Let me know if I can clarify anything else. Sorry if my explanations aren't solid; your questions are helping me to take note on how I should be more clear with future results like this. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:05, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Oshwah and ST47: just want to make sure we're all on the same page before this gets archived. Charlie063 was previously tagged as proven to Vijayclicker93, but reading the Vijayclicker93 SPI, it sounds like the technical evidence is stronger for AjKa180, so I'll re-block/re-tag them as proven? suspected? to AjKa180?
And TheSandDoctor, I'll tag Sarvasva30 as suspected AjKa180?
And SpacemanSpiff, Chiki170 is currently block/tagged as a Kiranpz sock. Is that still what we're going with? -- RoySmith (talk) 04:47, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@RoySmith: It looks like Charlie063 is tagged as Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Vijayclicker93. This is definitely interesting. Per that and the above, Sarvasva30 might need to be tagged as Vijayclicker93...either that or the two cases might need a merge. --TheSandDoctor Talk 06:46, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have just added Akashvarma1995 to the list above, (and blocked them), since they recreated Draft:Priyanka Chincholi and dropped a request for extended confirmed permissions at Draft talk:Anusha Rai. Seems fairly ducky. I tagged them as a sock of AjKa180, but I still think they're part of the Vijayclicker93 drawer. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:21, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And 2 hours after I deleted the Chincholi article, Shanvi54 created Draft:Priyanka Chincholi (Actress) and also Draft:Prarambha (2021 film). Note that Draft:Prarambha (without disambiguation) was deleted by Anthony Appleyard in June 2020 on the basis that it was created by a Vijayclicker93 sock. I'm deleting the articles and indeffing this new sock, but we might want to consider doing another CU at some point, to see if there are any sleepers, since new ones keep popping up. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:59, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also noticed IP 106.197.251.117 make submit a duplicate AFC submission at Draft:Gosi Gang, which was created by Vijayclicker93. ISP: Airtel; Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:27, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@RoySmith:. This is a large UPE sock/meat farm. See this from Chiki170. Appears that there's a few of them and all competing for the same paycheck. I really can't say with a 100% certainty which one belongs to which group but there appear to be 3-4 groups, and all of them are behaviorally similar. However, Chiki and AjKa have self admitted to being connected. —SpacemanSpiff 01:16, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •   Clerk note: Thanks everybody for their clarifying comments. It looks like the best we can do here is to accept that some of the tags may be uncertain because the exact sock pedigrees may be unknowable. Moving this back to closed. -- RoySmith (talk) 01:59, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Same fixation with Draft:Maasthi Upparahalli. Loud quacking. CU at your discretion. Does not seem to have the same activity as now very stale Kiranpz - are these separate farms? FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 21:33, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Timtrent is there anything more specific you can give me? Draft:Maasthi Upparahalli looks like it's been the subject of attention of multiple sock farms, so just editing that doesn't move my sock-o-meter much. With what I see now, my guess would be UPE, but not a AjK sock. I'll leave this open to give you a chance to reply. -- RoySmith (talk) 19:06, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@RoySmith: Apologies. Struggling with limited access on my phone and cannot do better than that because of it FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 07:25, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
